Thorn Run Partners (TRP) announced today the addition of Greg Burns as Partner and Mary Scott Hardwick as Vice President to their Washington, DC office. Both Burns and Hardwick come to Thorn Run Partners from Van Scoyoc Associates, where they specialized in local government representation.

At their previous firm, Burns and Hardwick teamed up to work with more than a dozen local government entity clients across the country, specializing in transportation and water infrastructure, public safety needs, regulatory matters, economic development, natural resources, and flood control. Currently, Burns and Hardwick provide comprehensive advocacy for clients ranging from large, urban regions to small, rural communities in states as diverse as California, Florida, and Texas.

Before entering the private sector, Burns served on the legislative staff of former Rep. Darlene Hooley (D-OR) and at the U.S. Public Interest Research Group in Washington, D.C.

“We are thrilled to add to Greg and Mary Scott to our team,” stated TRP co-founding partner Chris Lamond. “Coupled with the considerable local government work our Portland office already performs under the stewardship of our partner Dan Bates, these two new colleagues are going to supercharge that practice and add a real spark to our firm.”
