Taylor Jaszewski joined Thorn Run Partners as a Legislative Assistant in June of 2015 and has filled the Policy Analyst role since June 2016. With an established background in writing and research, he assists with the firm’s publications in all subject areas and helps clients develop a deeper understanding of policy developments at the federal level.
Taylor adds a wealth of experience in professional communication to the Thorn Run team. Before joining the firm, he interned with the Department of Justice’s Office of Public Affairs as a part of their speechwriting contingent. In that position, he routinely drafted public remarks for Attorneys General Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch, and helped the Department adjust its communication in the transition period following Holder’s departure. His prior experience in government includes working as an aide in Senator Mark Warner’s (D-VA) district office, and at the local level in the County Manager’s Office in Henrico County, Virginia.
In the fall of 2016, Taylor took a sabbatical from Thorn Run to join the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign as a Regional Get Out the Vote (GOTV) Director in Richmond, Virginia. Taylor provided critical logistics and management support in the campaign's closing weeks before returning to Thorn Run after Election Day.
Taylor graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Focus in Public Policy. In his junior year, he studied abroad at St. Anne’s College, University of Oxford, in their History and Politics program. His work has been featured in The Huffington Post, among other outlets.
