Thorn Run Partners, one of the Top 10 lobbying firms in Washington D.C., is seeking a Legislative Assistant with an interest in federal politics and policy to aid our executive-level advocacy team on a variety of writing, research, and administrative projects. The Legislative Assistant will spearhead a variety of legislative and regulatory projects, such as analyzing federal policy, drafting memos and presentations, summarizing congressional hearings, tracking policy issues, facilitating advocacy campaigns, and more. The individual in this multidisciplinary role will work across multiple policy verticals and be directly integrated into the firm’s nine-person Policy Team.

The individual in this role will be expected to prepare client-ready deliverables for some of Washington’s most influential stakeholders. Thorn Run is looking for a self-starter who is prepared to adapt to a fast-paced environment and consistently perform everyday responsibilities at an elite level. One to three years of experience handling federal policy issues is recommended, although exemplary entry-level candidates (especially those who have held relevant internships on Capitol Hill or in government affairs) would also be considered. A strong pedigree in writing or legislative analysis is imperative. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
