A passionate advocacy and policy analyst, Hannah Kelman joined Thorn Run in January of 2020 as a member of the firm’s public policy practice. Hannah’s substantial experience on Capitol Hill in the private sector, with a focus on health policy, makes her a valuable addition to the firm’s clients. She works primarily with TRP’s health policy team, helping to monitor, analyze, and influence key policy priorities for the firm’s substantial portfolio of health care clients.

Prior to her time at Thorn Run, Hannah worked with Northwind Strategies, a Boston-based consulting firm that serviced high profile political candidates including Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and Governor Deval Patrick (D-MA). She also served on Capitol Hill for former Rep. Joe Kennedy III’s (D-MA), where she contributed to the Congressman’s mental health and disability policy portfolio.

Hannah’s professional experience also includes a stint abroad in Tel Aviv, Israel, where she interned for the Society for International Development (SID) — an international development nonprofit. In this role, she identified and pitched investment opportunities to Israeli startups. Additionally, Hannah worked with Eritrean and Sudanese refugees seeking asylum during her time in Tel Aviv.

Hannah graduated summa cum laude from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She continues to reside in D.C. with her pet fish, Percy.
