Thorn Run Partners (TRP) announced today the addition of Jim Davenport as Partner in their Washington, DC office. Davenport comes to Thorn Run from Alcalde & Fay, where he specialized in representing local governments and other public entities for over 18 years. Davenport’s addition to Thorn Run follows the recent addition of Partner Greg Burns and Vice President Mary Scott Hardwick, both of whom brought a strong pedigree in representing local governments in Washington.

At his previous firm, Davenport provided consulting services to public entities on a broad spectrum of issues, including transportation, water infrastructure, navigation, energy and environment, public safety and elementary, secondary and higher education. Currently, Davenport provide comprehensive advocacy for clients from states across the country, including Florida, California, Virginia and Kansas.

Before entering the private sector, Davenport served as Legislative Assistant in the office of the late Congressman Gerald B. Solomon of New York.

“We are excited to add Jim to our growing firm,” stated TRP co-founding partner Andrew Rosenberg. “His joining further cements Thorn Run’s position as one of the Capitol’s most experienced and effective local government practices.”
