Thorn Run Partners (TRP) announced today the addition of veteran lobbyist, Richard White, as Partner. Rich joins Thorn Run from the firm of Roberti & White, where he was a founding partner.

“We would be ecstatic to add someone of Rich’s caliber to our team under any circumstance,” stated TRP’s founding Republican partner Chris Lamond, “but we are especially excited to boost our Republican reach as the GOP takes over the Senate. Rich is a stellar addition to our team.”

A veteran legislative and regulatory strategist with nearly two decades of lobbying experience and a deep bench of relationships with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, Rich knows how to help clients succeed in Washington, DC. Rich’s clients have run the gamut from small biotech and medical device firms, large PhRMA companies, hospitals and medical specialty groups, to Fortune 500 companies, including one of the world’s largest insurance groups. Prior to his work in the private sector, Rich served as the legislative coordinator for the late Sen. John Chafee (R-RI), focusing on healthcare, tax, and environmental issues, and as field director for the Senator’s successful 1988 re-election campaign. He was also the campaign manager of Fred Lippitt’s 1990 Independent bid for Mayor of Providence, RI. He began his political career as a legal intern in the White House Office of Management and Budget, Health and Income Maintenance Division under President George H.W. Bush.

Rich received his undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College and his law degree from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law, where he was a recipient of the Dulin and Haynes Law and Public Policy Scholarship Award.
