With FAA checked off, lawmakers will now shift their attention to work on other “must pass” legislative items such as fiscal year (FY) 2025 appropriations and the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) — both of which could be leveraged as vehicles to carry other bipartisan efforts before the 118th Congress closes out. Meanwhile, senators will take up a resolution that seeks to negate a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Staff Accounting Bulletin that requires public companies to include digital assets they hold for clients on their balance sheets.
