Elena is a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with experience in legislative and regulatory analysis, policy research, and government affairs. She joined Thorn Run Partners in January 2023 as a Legislative Assistant, supporting the firm’s health policy practice by providing in-depth policy research and analysis for some of the most influential health care stakeholders in the country.
Prior to joining TRP, Elena gained valuable experience through several internships and assistantships. Most recently, she served as a legislative intern at Thorn Run, aiding the firm’s federal lobbyists in legislative and regulatory analysis, conducting extensive policy research, and engaging in outreach to Capitol Hill. Prior to that, Elena worked as a graduate assistant for the UPS Foundation, supporting the company’s corporate, government, and public affairs activities. During her time at UPS, Elena was tasked with constructing the annual Social Impact Report, which was recognized as part of the 59th Annual Graphic Design Awards Showcase. In addition, Elena has served as a student research assistant at the University of Georgia School of Public and International Affairs Research Center, where she assisted faculty in conducting research for various research projects.
Elena holds dual bachelor’s degrees in political science and advertising from the University of Georgia. In addition to her professional and academic achievements, Elena is an active member of her community, volunteering with local organizations and serving as a mentor to local high school students. She is also a passionate advocate for women’s rights and health equity, working to empower women and girls both at home and abroad.
