Sam Diaz joined Thorn Run Partners in 2025, bringing policy analysis and political advocacy experience to his role as Senior Legislative Assistant. He supports the firm’s policy practice on a broad range of issues, focusing on local government, appropriations, trade, and financial services. Prior to joining Thorn Run, he served as an intern for Representative Kelly Skidmore in the Florida House of Representatives and conducted project analysis as an intern within Leon County, FL’s Office of Management and Budget. He also has experience managing legislative processes as a former Student Senate President at Florida State University and as a student assistant within FSU’s Department of Student Governance & Advocacy.

A native of Orlando, FL, Sam earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in political science and interdisciplinary social sciences while studying at FSU.
