WASHINGTON, D.C. — Thorn Run Partners (“TRP”), one of the nation’s leading bipartisan government affairs firms, announced today the addition of Carl Chidlow as a Partner, further strengthening the firm’s capabilities across transportation, appropriations, environmental policy, and national security.
Chidlow brings decades of experience working at the intersection of politics, policy, and government relations. Prior to joining Thorn Run Partners, he worked at several boutique government affairs firms counseling and representing clients, municipalities, and national trade associations on a broad range of federal policy priorities.
His background also includes extensive experience in national politics. Chidlow served in senior roles at the Democratic National Committee, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and on the presidential campaign of U.S. Senator John Kerry. Over several election cycles, he also worked for U.S. Senate campaigns in Georgia, South Dakota, Washington State, and Missouri.

Chidlow is a graduate of Syracuse University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in American Studies. He also served in the New York and Maryland Army National Guard while pursuing his undergraduate degree. He lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife and two children.
