Utilizing our bipartisan capabilities, Thorn Run was able to bring together industry and consumer groups to support this effort, resulting in a strong bipartisan bill, which we then shepherded through the legislative process — including a committee mark-up — and ultimately had the language included in the fiscal year 2022 Omnibus appropriations act.
After failing to prod the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to take the issue up, the client turned to Thorn Run to drive a legislative solution to create a new, more streamlined form for registering these products with the SEC.
