WASHINGTON, D.C. — Thorn Run Partners (“TRP”), a leading bipartisan government relations firm, announced today the launch of its Latin America Business Opportunities Practice, an initiative led by expert members of the firm with strong ties to key Latin American economies and political decision makers. The group’s launch comes at a time of growing economic integration across the western hemisphere. These trends are creating new opportunities for organizations seeking to establish or grow their presence in key regional markets.

The Latin American Business Opportunities group brings together professionals with decades of experience across government affairs, maritime policy, logistics, international trade, economic development, and public-private engagement. As industry increasingly looks to diversify supply chains, expand into new markets, and strengthen regional partnerships, TRP will provide strategic guidance to help clients understand the evolving policy and business landscape shaping the Americas.

The practice will support organizations seeking to:

  • Identify growth and investment opportunities across Latin America.
  • Navigate government and regulatory environments.
  • Monitor trade, infrastructure, and economic policy developments.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Evaluate market-entry and expansion strategies.
  • Understand emerging opportunities related to supply chains, logistics, energy, and critical industries

“The Western Hemisphere is undergoing a profound economic realignment, with supply chain diversification and nearshoring rewriting the rules of regional trade. Navigating this new reality requires more than just market entry strategies; it demands a sophisticated understanding of localized regulatory environments, maritime infrastructure, and geopolitical nuances. Formalizing this practice allows us to deploy our team’s deep, on-the-ground relationships and policy expertise to give clients a decisive edge across Latin American markets,” — Louis Sola, Partner at Thorn Run Partners.

“Having spent my career at the intersection of federal regulatory policy and international trade, including as Chief of Staff of the Federal Maritime Commission for four different Chairmen, I have watched the conditions shaping the maritime industry and Latin American markets shift in ways that are genuinely historic. This is the moment for companies to act, and I am proud to bring TRP’s full capabilities to bear to help my clients move decisively in one of the most dynamic commercial landscapes in the world,” — Mary Thien Hoang, Partner at Thorn Run Partners.

“In recent years, we have collected an exceptional set of partners and staff with relationships, experiences and expertise that now comprise a powerhouse Latin American oriented practice. This team, now formalized, will create tremendous value for current and future TRP clients looking to expand into new markets in the western hemisphere.” — Andrew Rosenberg, Founding Partner at Thorn Run Partners.

Thorn Run Partners’ Chris Hayes Launches Coalition for Tokenized Markets

New transatlantic coalition brings together leading financial institutions to help shape the future of tokenized capital markets.

Thorn Run Partners is proud to announce the launch of the Coalition for Tokenized Markets (CTM), a new industry-led coalition founded and led by TRP Partner Chris Hayes.

As Executive Director of CTM, Chris has brought together an impressive group of founding members—including Franklin Templeton, Janus Henderson, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, and WisdomTree—to advance practical policy solutions supporting the responsible growth of tokenized financial markets.

The coalition was created at a pivotal moment for financial services. As traditional financial assets increasingly move onto distributed ledger technology, policymakers in the United States and Europe are grappling with how existing regulatory frameworks should evolve to accommodate new market structures and technologies.

CTM will serve as a forum for collaboration among leaders across traditional finance, digital assets, and market infrastructure, with a focus on regulatory modernization, cross-border policy coordination, and institutional adoption of tokenized securities, funds, and collateral.

“Tokenization is moving from concept to market reality, and the rules being shaped today will determine how these markets develop,” said Chris Hayes. “CTM was created to bring leading firms together around practical policy solutions in the U.S. and Europe that enable tokenized securities, funds, and collateral to scale safely, compliantly, and globally.”

Chris brings more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of financial services, emerging technology, and public policy. Throughout his career, he has advised clients on complex legislative and regulatory challenges, helping organizations navigate rapidly evolving policy environments in the United States and abroad.

The launch of CTM reflects both the growing importance of tokenization within global capital markets and Thorn Run Partners’ longstanding expertise in coalition management, financial services policy, and strategic advocacy.

The coalition’s initial work is expected to focus on issues including modernizing AML/KYC frameworks, supporting compliant secondary markets, reducing barriers to cross-border investment activity, and promoting regulatory clarity for tokenized financial products.

We congratulate Chris on this exciting milestone and look forward to supporting the coalition’s continued growth and impact.

Andy Rosenberg and Chris Lamond in Bloomberg Government: Why the Best Lobbyists Believe in Their Clients’ Causes

Thorn Run Partners co-founders Andrew Rosenberg and Chris Lamond authored an op-ed in Bloomberg Government today on what separates effective advocates from exceptional ones—and why the firms that consistently deliver results are the ones that genuinely believe in their clients’ missions.

In the piece, Andy and Chris make the case that technical proficiency and strong relationships are necessary but not sufficient. The most important—and most often overlooked criterion when hiring a lobbying firm is whether the team shares your organization’s passion for the policy objectives you’re trying to achieve.

Drawing on their experience co-founding one of Washington’s most recognized boutique government relations firms, Andy and Chris reflect on how TRP approaches new client relationships—including the deliberate choice to take on work that aligns with the firm’s values and policy interests, even when that means passing on opportunities that don’t.

From health care and life sciences to energy, appropriations, and infrastructure, TRP’s partners bring genuine conviction to the issues they work on. That conviction, Andy and Chris argue, is what turns a competent advocate into one who doesn’t just get the meeting—but wins the room.

Thorn Run Partners works with organizations navigating complex federal policy environments across a broad range of industries and issues. To learn more about how TRP approaches government relations, visit our About page or contact us directly.
